Delivery control 01
Two-person delivery is appropriate when item weight, dimensions, grip, fragility or access makes single-person handling unsafe or impractical. The decision must also consider stairs, turns, floor protection, parking distance and final placement. Two people do not make an unsuitable route or unsafe manual-handling task acceptable.

Delivery control 02
Useful evidence includes doorway and stair widths, floor level, lift dimensions, parking distance, turns, surface condition and photographs of restricted points. The team also needs the packaged item dimensions and weight. Product dimensions alone are insufficient because protective packaging can materially change whether the route is viable.
| Access check | Evidence needed |
|---|---|
| External approach | Parking position, path length, steps, slope and surface. |
| Building entry | Door clearances, thresholds, security and booking procedure. |
| Internal route | Corridors, turns, stairs, lift capacity and floor protection. |
| Final placement | Room, orientation, assembly scope and packaging removal agreement. |
Operations checks the packaged item against the complete access route before selecting crew, vehicle and handling aids. The recipient receives an arrival plan and prepares the route. On site, the team verifies conditions before movement, completes only the agreed placement scope and records any damage, refusal or access exception.
