How this vehicle calculator works

This free tool helps you work out which courier vehicle is likely to suit your consignment before you book. Enter the total weight of your load, then either the outer dimensions in centimetres or a UK / Euro pallet count — the same details our quote form uses. You can also flag special handling such as temperature control, hazardous goods, fragile items, or a tail lift.

Behind the scenes we run your inputs through the same matching engine we use internally: it checks weight capacity, internal load space, pallet capacity, and tail-lift availability, then selects the smallest suitable vehicle from our fleet — from small vans through Lutons and rigid lorries up to articulated trailers. You see only the recommended vehicle name and a short plain-language reason for that pick. There is no cost figure, no account sign-up, and no email gate — the calculator is fully public.

Treat the result as an estimate. Final vehicle confirmation always happens when you book with our operations team, who know live availability, access constraints, and any specialist requirements (for example ADR or fridge/freezer capability). Loads that need a specialist check, or that sit outside standard fleet capacity, will point you to request a quote rather than guess.
