HIAB Crane Vehicle
Specified from load weight, working radius and placement position.
Vehicle-mounted lifting
Transport and unloading planned as one controlled operation, based on the load and the site.

Lift radius, ground conditions and overhead restrictions are checked before allocation.

A HIAB suits loads lifted from the vehicle to a defined landing point, subject to reach, radius and ground conditions. A Moffett suits palletised goods that need to be carried from the vehicle across a suitable surface. Load geometry and site access decide the equipment, not preference alone.
| Equipment | Best-fit conditions |
|---|---|
| HIAB crane | Lift radius is known, outriggers can deploy safely and a clear landing zone is available. |
| Moffett forklift | The load is fork-compatible and the travel surface can support a truck-mounted forklift. |
| Tail lift | The load is compatible with rated platform dimensions and safe manual or pallet-truck movement. |
| Site crane | The principal contractor controls a planned lift and only transport to the lifting zone is needed. |

The plan must confirm load weight, centre of gravity, lifting points, equipment capacity at the required radius, ground stability, overhead hazards, exclusion zones and supervision. HSE guidance requires lifting operations to be properly planned by a competent person, appropriately supervised and carried out safely.

Standard milestone updates follow the consignment from confirmation to delivery. Live GPS tracking can be provided on request, while operations remains the control point for progress and exceptions.
Operations checks the route, load, timing and contacts.
The allocated driver and collection plan are confirmed.
Collection is recorded and the direct movement begins.
Operations provides progress and exception updates.
Proof of delivery closes the transport record.
Proof of delivery records the recipient name, signature, delivery timestamp and photograph. The completed record is returned after handover.
*For suitable van bookings after confirmation, subject to driver and vehicle availability near the collection area.
Cargo acceptance remains subject to lawful classification, suitable packaging, accurate dimensions and weight, required documentation, vehicle availability and route conditions.
Specified from load weight, working radius and placement position.
Vehicle-mounted forklift support for suitable palletised loads and surfaces.
Selected around load geometry, access and unloading responsibility.
Specialist lifting and self-unloading work is available across the UK after the load and operating site have been assessed.
“Great service, prompt communication back and even when my clients moved times and dates Same Day Courier adjusted with no fuss. Brilliant service.”
Operations review load evidence and site photographs before nominating equipment. The responsible parties agree access, setup, exclusion and landing arrangements. On arrival, the operator verifies that conditions match the plan. If the ground, access or lifting zone is unsafe, the lift pauses until controls are corrected.
Record weight, dimensions, lifting points, placement, radius and site restrictions.
Select a HIAB, Moffett or alternative based on capacity and operating conditions.
Agree access, traffic management, ground condition, exclusion zone and responsible contact.
Complete the lift within the agreed plan and return signed delivery evidence.

Route, timing, cargo, handling constraints and site conditions determine the usable vehicle plan. Complete information lets operations qualify the work without avoidable assumptions.
Send the route, cargo and timing details. Operations will confirm the vehicle plan and any information still required.
