What makes an urgent same day courier different?

An urgent same day courier assigns a vehicle to one confirmed job and sends it directly from collection to delivery. The load does not enter a parcel hub or follow a shared network schedule. This gives operations clearer control over dispatch, custody, progress updates, arrival planning and final proof of delivery.

  • One customer load on the assigned vehicle
  • No planned depot transfer or co-loading
  • Operations-led updates throughout the movement
  • Named proof of delivery after handover

Accurate package counts, dimensions and weights support correct vehicle allocation.

Can a van collect within 60 minutes?

For suitable van bookings, operations aims to assign a driver near the collection area and reach the collection point within 60 minutes of booking confirmation. This is a response target rather than a guarantee. Driver availability, vehicle suitability, traffic, access, cargo readiness and the collection location can change the confirmed plan.

Booking factorWhy it affects response
Driver proximityA nearby suitable driver reduces travel time to collection.
Cargo readinessGoods, packaging and paperwork must be ready when the driver arrives.
Vehicle requirementSpecialist or larger vehicles may need a different dispatch plan.
Site accessSecurity, loading and parking conditions affect the usable collection time.
Courier recording delivery details on a clipboard beside packaged goods
Named proof records the recipient, signature, timestamp and delivery photograph.

What can travel on the same day service?

The service can move the cargo types listed across our transport range, from documents and packaged orders to pallets, machinery, regulated goods and temperature-sensitive consignments. Acceptance depends on accurate dimensions, weight, packaging, documentation and handling information so operations can provide a suitable vehicle and meet all legal and route requirements.

  • Urgent documents, parcels and customer orders
  • Production parts, tooling and commercial equipment
  • Palletised freight and larger dedicated loads
  • ADR, controlled-temperature and lifting work after qualification
